Background information

Description
The Symposium will elaborate on the global IP framework, in particular the role patents play in fostering economic development. Among the various topics, issues such as IP for start-up companies, IP value extraction and examples of university networking in IP management will be presented. The workshop, in parallel sessions, will give first-hand information on topics such as filing strategies, online-filing and enforcement as well as on means for IP protection and documentation.

IP professionals, staff of technology transfer and innovation centres, researches and students at universities
